At OKM, we have developed a new expansive, flexible PU with similar characteristics to that of human adipose tissue.
With OKM ELAX and OKM ISO 180 we have obtained a PU for the insoles of sportspeople, diabetic patients, injured feet, polyarthritic pateints and for those who require a great deal of comfort.
This material is alos used for the manufacture of prostheses and insoles for toe amputations (in prostheses for patients with Chopart's abd Lisfranc's amputations, the fore-foot can be integrated into insole or posthesis).
Characterisitcs
– Thanks to its expansion, this material is 50% lighter than other PUs used in insoles.
– Maximum absorption.
– High recovery.
– Resistant to wear and tear.
– Rapid polishin using a polisher or grinfding wheel.
– Light.
– Comfortable.
– Allows an integral fore-foot to be constructed into the insole.
Observations
OKM ELAX can be made to react with our isocyanates, ISO 120, which slightly modifies the characteristics of the resulting foam. The choice of ISO 180 or 120 depends on the characterisitcs required by the othosis as well as on professional criteria.
(For correct use, consult our user manual for PU insoles)
